SM just called to confirm this. They said they are reactivating it after so many years. According to SM who has been there mant times then, the goods were pretty damn good.
3. British Women In Malaysia (ABWM) Annual Christmas Charity Bazaar
5th November 2006
10am – 3pm
Crown Princess Hotel, Jalan Ampang, KL
If you haven’t already heard about this, then where have you been? The moon? The annual ABWM Christmas Bazaar is not to be missed. The wide variety of stalls will include books, crafts, white elephant, and the ever popular cakes. Buy your homemade Christmas puddings and mince pies, stock up on presents and gifts and take part in the ever popular treasure tree. There will be games and entertainment for all the family, including the opportunity to visit Santa in his grotto.
Ticket purchase enters you into a raffle for a fantastic selection of door prizes, including a BA flight from Singapore to Sydney including 3-nights accommodation (you have to be at the bazaar to claim your prize).
So bring your friends and family to the ABWM Bazaar at the Crown Princess Hotel, Jalan Ampang, KL; it’s a great day out and helps support Malaysian charities at the same time.
Tickets available at the ABWM House; RM10 in advance; RM15 on the day.

Sunny day on Jalan Sri Hartamas 2 on Oct 7, 2006 - Garage Sale by Jalin Realty
Checked out the Jalin Realty's garage sale for residents on Jalan Sri Hartamas 2 on Oct 7.
I turned up the same time when SM & Sim arrived. Shoppers picked up list of households taking part in the garage sale that day at the first house where Jalin officers set up a little table for enquiries. This was the first house...SM bought some knick-knacks already...
Sim took this pic of me half way down the long stretch of townhouses on SriHartamas 2, I was holding up a hard cover cult classic, bought for RM2 and a set of rather exquisite necklace & earrings for RM 20. My shopping bag was already filling up.
From Margaret's house, she painted some of these beautiful porcelain.

Then I went to buy this dress from Doreen who was selling her clothes at Janet's
It looked kinda good too with my white shirt underneath, don't you think?
This is actually the front of the dress with lace & embroidery but I decided there and then that I would wear it as the back. The `back' which is now my `front' is a v-neckline. I have been wearing it since Sunday, love the big skirt and the two pockets.
Guess how much for this fully-beaded flapper-potential look? Bought it from Janet at RM 28...from RM 30.
Got this Phantom Of Opera inspired mask at the last house, RM 5.
Jalin Realty will be running monthly garage sale in the same neighbourhood (different households), next one up on Nov 11th, Sat, so look out for notices here :)

STOP PRESS! Shop and eat for a good cause!
What is it?
Kechara Media and Publications (KMP) is a Publishing Company is a non-profit organization. In order to publish, it needs a lot of capital upfront, which it can then recoup from sales of its products. However, the initial burden is quite heavy. So, we the writers decided to hold a Writers’ Day at our home in Bangsar to help raise some funds. We will be holding a GARAGE SALE (great selection of books, toys, branded goods and other good stuff; both old and brand new) – including hand painted glass candle holders by Paulyne!
We will be serving all day BRUNCHEANNER (breakfast/ lunch/ tea/ dinner) with a spread of scrambled eggs (made by Sharon), toast and coffee/tea, pasta (made by Susan), cup cakes (donated by Shirley as well as hand made by Jamie) amongst others! And of course, Sean will be providing intermittent massage services again! It’s also just a good reason to hang out and catch up with friends J
There will also be a range of KMP Dharma CDs/DVDs/Books for sale.
Why are we doing it?
We are raising funds for KMP to produce its many publications, which will benefit lots of people. This event will be open to our friends and family and their friends and family. It’s not being publicly advertised because it will be held inside our house so we don’t want to invite trouble J
