at Mama's store - the irresistible crochet hand bags

My man's grandma, everyone calls her Mama, besides being easy going and downright funny, is also a gifted artist in handcraft work.

Among the stuff she makes for friends, families and for commercial sale are patch-work bedsheets, floor mats, and now, her latest work -- crochet hand bags.

While watching her making one yesterday, .....TING*!! in my head, what a waste that these bags are only going to her relatives and friends now (she has only been giving them to relatives)...everyone who likes the design should be able to get one for themselves :)

So...announcing, Shop With Soul Doctor's first sale of brand new items - Mama's home-made & hand-made crochet handbags!

Price: RM 35 each
(Soul Doctor is not taking a cut because Mama pampers me too much)

Available - BLUE
GREEN
BROWN
and.....

The artist at work...Mama
to indicate & show the size of the bag, Mama posed for us so you can see how big the bag is being held up...

How to purchase/order -
Email me at soul.doc.lee@gmail.com or call me @ 012 378 3730, indicate the colors you like based on the pictures above --

note* limited stock...she is the only one making them here! We can ask her to make some more if this batch runs out :)

Happy shopping!

ART FOR GRABS - Now Everyone Can Afford Art! -- May 3 & 4 @ Annexe - Central Market!

“IT IS NOT OFTEN IN LIFE that I have experienced this level of excitement about art.” -- Lucien de Guise, Curator for Islamic Art Museum

ARTS FOR GRABS
Now Everyone Can Afford Art!
"The Bazaar for Art Under 100"

May 3 & May 4 (Sat & Sun)
12pm - 6pm
The Annexe Gallery, Central Market

Tel: 0320701137

Artists want the masses. The masses want art. The Annexe wants everyone happy. So, in November last year, The Annexe held its inaugural Art For Grabs. With everything capped at RM100, we managed to prove that art doesn’t have to be elitist or expensive.

Everyone was soon asking when the next one will be. Well, it is back. This time, bigger and crazier!

We have filled up two galleries leaving the third for workshops and showcases. We also have the lofts filled with a café, the studios with activist activities and alternative books. Not forgetting two rock fests on both days of this rocking weekend.

+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +

ART FOR GRABS is for
1. Art lovers who always wish they could bring something beautiful home from a gallery but have never found anything that fits their salary
2. Artists who just want to get their art to their masses
3. Collectors who want to survey young and upcoming artists before they get famous and auction-priced!

Featuring 40 stalls by artists known and not-yet-known selling:
Paintings
Drawings
Photos
T-shirts
Accessories
Hand-sewn dolls
Mini Sculptures
Music
Movies
+ Artistic Services (hmm!)

You can also join

Workshops on Tap-Dancing + Modern Jazz Dance

or

Chill Out with Cute Cupcakes + Coffee in the Loft, while you watch the masses haggle below you...

Eh, no need to haggle lah please...

EVERYTHING UNDER RM100!
